Kate Middleton and Prince William are soon to make a move to their “forever home” within the next few weeks. The royal couple, along with their three children – Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis – have chosen the impressive eight-bedroom Forest Lodge as their new residence on the Windsor Great Park estate.

Sources close to the couple have revealed that Kate and William are eager to settle into Forest Lodge by early November. This would mean that they might be able to enjoy the festive season in their new home, potentially moving in time for Guy Fawkes night celebrations on November 5th, a traditional holiday marked with bonfires and fireworks.

Initially, it was anticipated that the move would happen by Christmas. However, renovations have progressed faster than expected, and a security cordon has been established around the property. Staff members have begun transferring the couple’s belongings, indicating that the move is well underway.

Forest Lodge is a significant upgrade from their current residence, the four-bedroom Adelaide Cottage. The couple has funded the move themselves and will pay market rent to the Crown Estate. The decision to move to Forest Lodge marks a fresh start for Kate and William after facing several challenges in recent years.
Living at Adelaide Cottage has been associated with some of the most difficult times in their adult lives, including the loss of Queen Elizabeth in 2022 and health issues affecting both Kate and William’s father, King Charles. Despite these hardships, the couple has enjoyed living in Windsor, which led them to consider Forest Lodge as their long-term home.
The royal pair plan to remain in Windsor even when William eventually becomes king. Their staff, including the children’s nanny and housekeepers, are expected to live on other properties within the estate. Additionally, the Wales family owns a country home in Norfolk and a London residence in Kensington Palace.
The move to Forest Lodge symbolises a new chapter for Kate and William, offering them a fresh start in a location they have come to love. Amidst personal challenges and changes within the royal family, the couple is looking forward to settling into their new abode and creating lasting memories with their children.
As the preparations for the move continue, Kate has been busy sourcing furniture and furnishings for their new home, ensuring that every detail reflects their taste and style. With the support of their loyal staff and the anticipation of new beginnings, Kate Middleton and Prince William are eagerly awaiting the next chapter of their royal journey in Forest Lodge.
