Sebastian Roché and Alicia Hannah-Kim ‘Forgot’ Their Wedding Anniversary (Exclusive)

Sebastian Roché and Alicia Hannah-Kim may have solidified their bond over 11 years together, but when it comes to remembering their 10th wedding anniversary, it seems the couple missed the mark. The pair shared exclusively with PEOPLE that their hectic schedules in 2024, with Roché filming in Mexico City and Texas for a Netflix series and Hannah-Kim working on projects in Atlanta and Seoul, left them “barely [seeing] each other all year.”
Reflecting on their milestone, Roché, 60, confessed, “We completely forgot. We were so busy that we completely [forgot].” Hannah-Kim, 37, echoed his sentiments, saying, “We’re not the kind of couple that has a 2-week rule for seeing each other at all, but also we’re terrible at remembering anniversaries.”
With Roché reprising his role as Father Renaud in the upcoming 1923 season 2, he revealed, “We’re really romantic with each other. I like to buy flowers when I want to buy flowers, and not on the 14th of February like everyone does here it seems.” Despite their forgetfulness, the couple had initially planned to celebrate their anniversary in Italy but found themselves engulfed in non-stop work commitments.
Looking back on their wedding day at Chateau Les Bouysses in France in 2014, the couple reminisced about the picturesque setting and the gathering of friends from around the world. Roché described the ceremony as an “international summit with lovely people,” while Hannah-Kim recalled fond memories of celebrating with friends and family.
Throughout their 11-year journey, the couple has remained flexible and adaptable in their relationship, choosing to “just go with the flow” rather than abide by strict rules. Hannah-Kim shared, “It’s a very symbiotic partnership, an artistic partnership,” highlighting the understanding they have developed over the years amidst the demands of their respective careers.
