The case began when the bodies of Decker’s three daughters – Paityn aged 9, Evelyn aged 8, and Olivia aged 5 – were found in a remote campground after Decker failed to return them to their mother following a court-ordered visit.

Last week, law enforcement in Chelan County reported that they had discovered remains in a wooded area south of Leavenworth, Washington, which they strongly believed belonged to Decker. A drone located a T-shirt that led officials to the human remains, suspected to be those of Travis Decker. Sheriff Mike Morrison explained that the drone detected an unusual object on September 18th, which turned out to be a neon green shirt matching one Decker had previously been seen wearing. The condition of the remains was described as significantly decomposed, underscoring the challenges faced by investigators as they navigate the rugged terrain where the discoveries were made.

The campsite where Decker’s daughters were tragically found sits at an elevation of around 2,800 feet, while the human remains were located over 4,000 feet above sea level.
