A star-studded lineup has been announced for the upcoming Harry Potter audiobook series, set to be released through 2026. Pottermore Publishing and Audible revealed the latest additions to the cast, which includes Keira Knightley, Kit Harington, James McAvoy, and more.
The highly-anticipated series will encompass all seven of J.K. Rowling’s Harry Potter novels, with the first installment, “Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone,” scheduled for release on November 4. Joining the cast are renowned actors such as Kit Harington portraying Professor Lockhart, Keira Knightley as Professor Umbridge, Iwan Rheon as Professor Lupin, James McAvoy as Mad-Eye Moody, and Ruth Wilson as Bellatrix Lestrange.
Leo Woodall, Ambika Mod, Simon Pegg, Gemma Whelan, and Matt Berry are also part of the ensemble, with Woodall expressing his excitement about the project. “In creating Bill Weasley’s adventures through voice, it is genuinely special to be part of bringing this world to life in a new way for listeners,” Woodall shared.
The initial audiobook cast lineup featured Hugh Laurie as Albus Dumbledore, Matthew Macfadyen as Lord Voldemort, Riz Ahmed as Professor Snape, and Cush Jumbo as the narrator. The first three books will see Frankie Treadway, Max Laester, and Arabella Stanton lead the narration as Harry Potter, Ron Weasley, and Hermione Granger, respectively.
The subsequent books in the series will feature Jaxon Knopf, Rhys Mulligan, and Nina Barker-Francis taking on the roles of Harry, Ron, and Hermione.
