An Ohio man, Kayvon Warren, found himself embroiled in a tragic and disturbing case where he allegedly requested bereavement leave before committing a heinous act. The incident involved the murder of his pregnant ex-girlfriend, India Kinamore, who was expecting to give birth to their child on the day of her untimely death.

According to reports from the Hamilton County Prosecutor’s Office in Ohio, Warren, aged 30, faced charges of murder, alongside several other charges, in connection to the 2023 death of Kinamore, aged 26, and her unborn child. The Colerain Police Department disclosed that two other individuals, Robert Ervin, aged 20, and Lamar Morris Suggs, aged 22, were also arrested in relation to the tragic event.

The sequence of events unfolded when authorities responded to a call reporting a person shot at approximately 4:39 a.m. local time on March 4, 2023. Upon arrival, they discovered Kinamore, who was in the advanced stages of pregnancy, lifeless at the scene. Tragically, her unborn child also lost its life due to the incident.
Hamilton County Prosecutor, Connie Pillich, revealed that an investigation disclosed Warren’s involvement with another woman during the period of Kinamore’s death. Pillich stated that Warren’s actions were premeditated, as he conspired with Ervin and Suggs to stage a burglary at Kinamore’s residence. Furthermore, it was noted that Warren had even requested bereavement leave from his job prior to the fatal events, indicating a calculated plan.
Speaking on the devastating turn of events, Pillich expressed how what should have been a joyous occasion for Kinamore turned into a tragedy orchestrated by the father of her child and two others. The prosecutor vowed to ensure justice for both India and her unborn baby in the wake of the callous act.
While Warren’s lawyer, Clyde Bennett, refuted claims suggesting Warren wanted to terminate the pregnancy, insisting that Warren desired the child, Ervin’s attorney maintained his client’s innocence in connection to the case. As the legal proceedings unfold, Warren and Ervin are currently incarcerated at the Hamilton County Justice Center, with a bond set at $600,000, while Suggs serves a sentence for unrelated charges in Ohio.
The case serves as a somber reminder of the devastating consequences of domestic disputes and highlights the importance of swift and just legal action in cases of violence against women. It underscores the need for vigilance and support mechanisms to prevent such tragic occurrences in society.
Incidents of this nature serve as a chilling wake-up call to address underlying issues such as domestic violence and the struggles faced by pregnant women. It is imperative for communities to rally together in support of victims and advocate for stricter measures to prevent such senseless acts from recurring.
As the legal proceedings continue, the hope for justice remains steadfast for India Kinamore, her unborn child, and all victims of similar acts of violence. May this case serve as a poignant reminder to keep striving for a safer and more secure environment for all individuals, especially those vulnerable to such harm.
