Emilie Kiser, an influencer based in Arizona, has recently spoken out for the first time since the devastating loss of her 3-year-old son, Trigg. In a heartfelt post on TikTok, Kiser expressed the difficulty she faced in finding the right words to capture the magnitude of her grief. She shared, “I’ve spent days, weeks, months trying to find them [the right words] and also take the time I’ve needed to digest the loss of my baby.”
Trigg passed away in a drowning incident that occurred in the family’s backyard pool on May 12. The tragedy unfolded while Emilie’s husband, Brady Kiser, was the only parent at home. Initially, Brady mentioned that he had momentarily lost sight of Trigg before discovering him in the pool. However, the Chandler Police Department’s report revealed video evidence suggesting Trigg had been unsupervised in the backyard for over nine minutes, with approximately seven of those minutes spent in the water. Trigg was hospitalized following the incident and sadly succumbed to the injuries on May 18.

In her emotional post, Emilie Kiser described Trigg as their “baby and best friend,” acknowledging the profound impact he had on their lives. She expressed the ongoing pain and emptiness they feel in the absence of their son, emphasising that the grief they experience is indescribable. Kiser admitted her responsibility as Trigg’s mother, acknowledging that additional safety measures, such as a permanent pool fence, could have potentially averted the tragedy. She hopes that sharing Trigg’s story will raise awareness and prevent similar heartbreak for other families.
Throughout this challenging period, Kiser expressed gratitude towards her inner circle for their unwavering support. She recognised the love and assistance they received as invaluable in helping them cope with the loss. Additionally, she extended her appreciation to her followers and well-wishers for their kind messages and compassion during this trying time.
Reflecting on her social media presence, Kiser highlighted the need for stricter boundaries concerning privacy, particularly in safeguarding children. She expressed her intention to establish clearer guidelines regarding the content shared online and hinted at future updates on her journey through grief. Despite the pain and sorrow, she expressed deep gratitude for the love, understanding, and space provided to her and her family to mourn Trigg’s passing.
As Emilie Kiser bravely shares her story and navigates the complexities of grief, her courage and openness serve as a poignant reminder of the importance of cherishing every moment with our loved ones. The outpouring of support and empathy towards her family demonstrates the power of compassion in times of tragedy. Sharing such personal experiences can spark conversations about child safety and the need for vigilance around water bodies, encouraging others to take proactive steps to protect their loved ones.
