Hannan, who is known as “Austin Eater” on Instagram, took to social media to share the devastating news with his followers on July 25.
The incident occurred as Hannan was preparing for a road trip in the early hours of the morning. He had loaded Noodles, his 8-year-old terrier mix, into the backseat of his red Honda Civic when he briefly went back inside his house. Upon his return, Hannan witnessed a stranger wearing a black hoodie driving off with his car, and, more importantly, with Noodles still inside.
In a heartfelt video posted on Instagram following the theft, an emotional Hannan appealed to the public for help in locating his missing dog. Despite the distressing situation, he expressed determination and optimism, stating, “Noodles will be found because we don’t give up.”
After a follower reported spotting the stolen car approximately 20 miles away from Hannan’s home, efforts to locate Noodles intensified. Unfortunately, although the vehicle was recovered, Noodles was not found inside. Hannan shared that the thief had removed or damaged all electronic devices in the car.
Refusing to lose hope, Hannan spearheaded a volunteer search party in South and East Austin to comb the area for any sign of Noodles. Despite the dedicated search efforts on Sunday, Noodles remained missing, leaving Hannan and his supporters determined to reunite him with his beloved pet.
Acknowledging the support and assistance of volunteers in the search for Noodles, Hannan expressed gratitude on Instagram, urging the community to continue spreading the word and aiding in the mission to bring Noodles home. Despite the challenges faced, Hannan remains resolute in his belief that Noodles will be found, emphasizing the unwavering commitment to not giving up.
The story of Taylor Hannan and his missing dog has touched the hearts of many, resonating with animal lovers and advocates alike. The power of social media and community support has been instrumental in amplifying the search efforts and rallying behind Hannan in his quest to reunite with Noodles.
