Nathaniel McIntyre, the fresh face on the popular drama series “All American,” has recently expressed his excitement about his upcoming role in the Michael Jackson biopic. The 21-year-old actor, who will portray young Jackie Jackson in the film, shared his thoughts on the project in an exclusive interview with PEOPLE.

In the interview, McIntyre revealed that his experience working on the biopic was nothing short of amazing. He described the opportunity as “a dope experience” and expressed his love for the movie. McIntyre eagerly anticipates the release of the film in October 2025, eager for audiences to see his performance.

The announcement of McIntyre joining the cast of the Jackson 5 in the Michael biopic was made in February 2024. The film will be directed by Antoine Fuqua, with Jaafar Jackson, the 28-year-old nephew of the late Michael Jackson, set to portray the iconic artist.
Before the biopic hits the big screen, fans can catch McIntyre in his role as KJ, the new starting quarterback at Beverly High, in the seventh season of the CW drama series “All American.” The young actor shared his initial reservations about the season premiere but was pleasantly surprised by the positive feedback from viewers on social media.
In “All American,” McIntyre’s character KJ forms a close bond with Amina, portrayed by Alexis Chikaeze. Their relationship takes a complicated turn as Amina finds herself torn between KJ and Khalil, a troubled teen from Beverly High’s rival team, the Crenshaw Chargers, played by Antonio J. Bell.
McIntyre also praised his co-star Michael Evans Behling, who plays Jordan Baker in the series, for his mentorship and support on set. He highlighted Behling’s efforts to foster a positive and collaborative environment among the cast, emphasizing the importance of maintaining high morale during filming.
Season 7 of “All American” premiered on February 3 on The CW, with new episodes airing on Mondays at 8 p.m. ET. The show, which follows the lives of high school football players in Los Angeles, has been well-received by audiences and continues to captivate viewers with its compelling storylines and talented cast.
As McIntyre, alongside Ikhile, Chikaeze, and Bell, brings a fresh energy to the series, fans can look forward to an exciting season filled with drama, romance, and intense football action. With McIntyre’s star on the rise, both in “All American” and the highly anticipated Michael Jackson biopic, audiences can expect to see more of his talent and versatility on screen in the coming months.
