Blondshell, also known as Sabrina Teitelbaum, has been making waves in the alt-rock music scene since the release of her critically acclaimed self-titled debut album in 2023. The New York-born artist’s journey in the music industry began when she moved to the West Coast at 18 to study pop music at the University of Southern California. However, her path took a different turn when she decided to pursue a solo career under the moniker BAUM, creating synth-pop music. It wasn’t until Teitelbaum connected with producer Yves Rothman that her dreamy, grunge-tinged sound took shape, leading to the birth of Blondshell in 2022.
Despite the success of her first album, Teitelbaum didn’t feel pressured when it came to crafting her sophomore LP, “If You Asked for a Picture,” which was released on May 2.
