Starbucks has got summer 2025 covered with a tantalising menu launch on the cards. The coffee giant recently announced that it will unveil its full summer menu in May, offering a preview of some of the exciting food and beverage items to expect. Among the highlights is the new Iced Horchata Oatmilk Shaken Espresso. While details of this beverage are yet to be officially released, Horchata is known as a traditional Mexican drink comprising rice, milk, sugar, vanilla, and cinnamon.

The upcoming menu also sees the return of the popular Summer-Berry Refreshers introduced last May – the Summer-Berry Lemonade Refresher and Summer Skies Drink. According to PEOPLE, these beverages are a delightful blend of raspberry, blueberry, and blackberry flavours accompanied by boba and raspberry-flavoured pearls. Additionally, Starbucks lovers can look forward to a new treat called the Strawberry & Cream Cake Pop, described as a “strawberry cake with buttercream”. These additions serve to add a burst of colour and flavour to the already diverse Starbucks menu.

This menu reveal comes as part of Starbucks’ overarching strategy, “Back to Starbucks”, led by chairman and CEO Brian Niccol. The company has been making various corporate changes, with the most recent being a revamped dress code for its employees. From May 12 onwards, retail staff will be required to sport solid black shirts paired with jeans, khakis, or black pants, along with the signature green apron. This move aims to standardise and enhance the Starbucks experience across all its outlets.
Starbucks’ endeavours to improve its coffeehouse experience for customers also extend to its employees’ attire. The company plans to introduce a line of branded shirts to ensure a consistent look and feel at all Starbucks locations. This initiative is in line with Starbucks’ commitment to quality and uniformity across its brand, as it continues to evolve in response to changing consumer preferences and industry trends.
In a bid to maintain a dynamic and inclusive work environment, Starbucks has proactively updated its dress code policies over the years. Previously, the dress code allowed for “unnatural hair colours” and a broader range of clothing options beyond just black and white. With the recent enhancements, employees have more flexibility in their attire, incorporating colours like charcoal, grey, navy, and brown, as well as materials like leather, denim, and wool.
The upcoming summer menu release and dress code updates mark Starbucks’ ongoing efforts to adapt and innovate in the competitive coffee market. With consumers seeking not only great coffee but also unique experiences, Starbucks continues to lead the way with its diverse menu offerings and commitment to enhancing every customer’s visit. As the summer of 2025 approaches, Starbucks enthusiasts can anticipate a blend of traditional favourites and exciting new flavours to savour and enjoy.
As Starbucks gears up for an exciting season ahead, the brand remains dedicated to providing a memorable coffeehouse experience for all. With its innovative menu items, updated dress code, and relentless commitment to excellence, Starbucks invites customers to indulge in the perfect blend of quality coffee, delicious treats, and welcoming ambience this summer.
