Celebrity couple Joan Vassos and Chock Chapple, known from their appearance on Golden Bachelorette, have given an insight into their wedding planning progress. The pair, who got engaged in a romantic setting in Bora Bora on the finale of the popular ABC show, recently spoke about their approach to organizing their nuptials in an exclusive interview with Bachelor Nation. Vassos, aged 61, expressed that they are not feeling pressured to rush into planning their wedding. She mentioned, “I think we’re really enjoying where we are right now, and I think if we put that pressure on us [to plan], we won’t enjoy what we’re doing now.”

Furthermore, Vassos clarified their stance on timing by highlighting they do not have any time constraints like a biological clock or impending parenthood, allowing them to savour the present moment. She added, “We don’t have a biological clock, we’re not having kids, so I think when the time is right we’ll know it and we’ll go and do it! But right now what we’re doing is perfect.” Chapple chimed in, mentioning the existing engagements and weddings among their family members, including Vassos’ children from her late husband, John Vassos. He shared, “Joan has a son getting married this summer and then probably another one getting engaged. So, I have family weddings I’m dealing with, which is wonderful and all happy things. So we’re gonna take a back seat to all that.”
The couple, currently residing in Maryland and Kansas, shed light on how they manage their long-distance relationship. Vassos revealed their strategy of meeting up every other week by aligning their calendars and making a conscious effort to prioritize their relationship. She noted, “We kind of combine our schedules every month and see where we can see each other, so it’s been great.” Chapple added that they are committed to finding time together amidst their busy family and work commitments, indicating, “The secret, from my aspect, is Joan’s in charge. So I just show up and it works out that way.”
Despite the physical distance between them, Vassos emphasised the importance of enjoying their time together and making the most of their meetings by exploring different locations together. She underlined, “But you still have a life. Just because we’re engaged and we’re in love and I plan to spend my future with him, doesn’t mean you have to spend every minute together.” Their dynamic approach to balancing their personal lives with their relationship showcases a mature and thoughtful outlook towards their future together.
In discussing their wedding plans, the duo’s cautious yet optimistic attitude towards the timing of their union allows them to focus on enjoying their current journey together. The lovebirds’ openness about their relationship dynamics and commitment to making it work despite the challenges of distance and hectic schedules offers a glimpse into the strong bond they share. As fans eagerly await updates on their impending nuptials, it is evident that Joan Vassos and Chock Chapple are taking their time to ensure that their special day reflects their love and dedication to one another.
