Massimo Zanetti Beverage USA, the parent company responsible for the distribution of the coffee product under the brand Our Family, voluntarily initiated the recall on Thursday, March 13. The recall was classified as a Class II recall, indicating that exposure to the mislabeled product may lead to temporary or medically reversible health consequences, although the risk of severe harm is deemed minimal.

According to the FDA report, the mislabeling issue specifically pertains to Our Family’s Traverse City Cherry-Flavored Decaf Light Roast Ground Coffee, which is packaged in 12-ounce bags with a best-buy date of Aug. 8, 2025. A total of 692 cases of the contaminated product were shipped to various states, including Colorado, Iowa, Illinois, Indiana, Kansas, Kentucky, Mississippi, Minnesota, North Carolina, North Dakota, Nebraska, Ohio, South Dakota, Wisconsin, and Wyoming.

The affected company, Massimo Zanetti Beverage USA, is yet to provide a response to inquiries regarding the recall. This incident is just one of several recalls that have occurred this year, with another recent coffee-related recall involving over 75,000 bottles of International Delight Coffee Creamers. Danone, LLC, the parent company of the brand, issued a recall due to complaints of spoilage and illness, also classified as a Class II risk.

In addition to these coffee-related recalls, various other products have been subject to recalls in recent months. These include dark chocolate products from Cal Yee Farms, baked goods from a vendor of Dunkin’, a cheese product from Aldi, and Coca-Cola soda packs.
