Blake Lively, the well-known actress famous for her role in *Gossip Girl*, is set to wind down her beverage business that includes the non-alcoholic drink brand Betty Buzz and its alcoholic counterpart, Betty Booze. A reliable source has confirmed to PEOPLE that the company’s operations will cease, marking an end to Lively’s brief foray into the drinks industry.

The star first introduced Betty Buzz in 2021, aiming to provide sparkling mixers that could be enjoyed alongside various alcoholic beverages. In 2023, she expanded her venture with the launch of Betty Booze, which featured canned cocktails infused with tequila and bourbon. This new line was reportedly built upon recipes that Lively had perfected over the years for friends and family, reflecting her home-cooking roots.

“My children are my everything, and while I do enjoy a good drink now and then, my focus has shifted. So, these are for those who love a delicious beverage but might not have the time to craft it themselves,” Lively remarked during the launch of Betty Booze. “These are the recipes I’ve been making for loved ones for years, but I’m tired – so here they are in a can. Enjoy. Responsibly…ish.”
According to trademark applications reviewed by TMZ, although Lively’s company has filed several trademarks since its inception, many have now been abandoned. The existing trademarks for both Betty Buzz and Betty Booze remain active; however, applications for certain beer-based products, as well as non-alcoholic carbonated drinks, have been dropped, hinting at a narrowing of the brand’s focus.
Lively, 39, is a mother to four children with her husband, actor Ryan Reynolds. She has often emphasised the importance of quality ingredients and homemade flavours in her work, stating that “drinking isn’t my thing, but flavour is” when describing her creations. At an event unveiling new vodka iced teas, she highlighted the meticulous process involved in developing every flavour, underscoring her commitment to authenticity.
Despite the closure of her drink brand, Lively is poised to continue her acting career. She is set to star and produce in an action-romantic comedy named *The Survival List*, produced by Lionsgate. This project follows a challenging period marked by her legal disputes stemming from her 2024 film *It Ends With Us*. Lively has taken legal action against its director, Justin Baldoni, alleging sexual harassment and retaliation, claims Baldoni has strongly denied. The pair’s legal struggle included a $400 million countersuit filed by Baldoni, which has since been dismissed.
In recent months, Lively has also secured an award of $407,451.75 for attorneys’ fees related to her ongoing legal battles. This ruling, granted by a federal judge, represents a partial fulfilment of her request for more than $8 million in costs stemming from the litigation against Baldoni and Wayfarer Studios.
As Blake Lively navigates this new chapter, she continues to balance her roles as a mother and actress while reflecting on her ventures and challenges in the beverage industry. Though her drinks company is coming to a close, her focus has now shifted back to the screen, signalling a promising future ahead in her film career.
