In a report released by House Democrats, serious allegations have emerged against former President Donald Trump concerning an incident that allegedly took place in November 1993. Beatrice Keul, a former Miss Switzerland, claims that Trump raped her at the Plaza Hotel in New York City during an event related to the Donald J. Trump American Dream Pageant.
Keul’s allegations, documented in detail within the report, suggest a disturbing pattern linking Trump to the late Jeffrey Epstein’s activities. The report asserts that Trump, Epstein, and several associates used the pageant, which catered to young women aged 16 to 22, as a platform to exploit vulnerable girls.

White House spokesperson Lauren Bis categorically denied Keul’s allegations, describing them as unfounded and a diversionary tactic by the Democrats. Bis emphasized that Trump has been “fully exonerated” regarding his connections to Epstein, stating, “None of these allegations are true.” She further claimed that Trump had previously expelled Epstein from his Mar-a-Lago club due to concerns over Epstein’s behaviour.

The report outlines Keul’s experiences leading up to the alleged incident. At the time, she was 24 years old and working as a model as well as a financial services professional. Keul recounts being invited to the pageant by Jill Harth, who was an acquaintance and also had her own allegations of sexual assault against Trump. During a press luncheon at the Plaza Hotel, Keul claims Trump approached her with promises of assistance regarding a visa and admission to New York University. Not long after, Epstein reportedly offered her similar assurances and even invited her to a social event at Mar-a-Lago.
Keul alleges that later that day, a representative of Trump’s team invited her to a private meeting with Trump in a hotel suite. Expecting that the meeting could bolster her career and educational aspirations, she complied. However, once inside, she alleges that Trump assaulted her, inflicting physical injuries including bruising and tearing her dress. Keul depicted the incident as “brutal” and claimed that Trump promised to support her future endeavours, but insisted she remain silent afterwards.
In the aftermath of the alleged assault, Keul felt an overwhelming sense of fear and trauma, leading her to withdraw from further participation in Trump’s pageants. Despite receiving further calls from Trump offering assistance months later, she declined his help.
The House Judiciary report draws parallels between Keul’s account and previous allegations made against Trump, including a civil lawsuit by Harth, who claimed she was also assaulted by Trump in 1997. The report points out that the tactics described by Keul bear resemblance to testimonies from women who described similar predatory behaviours by Epstein, wherein promises of education and career opportunities were used to manipulate victims.
While the White House continues to reject these claims, this incident is not isolated within Trump’s history. Accusations have circulated surrounding his conduct towards various women, including writer E. Jean Carroll, who has alleged that Trump raped her in a New York department store in the 1990s. Carroll’s allegations came to public attention with her 2019 book, leading to a defamation lawsuit against Trump. A jury subsequently found him liable for sexual abuse and defamation, a verdict upheld by the Supreme Court despite Trump’s attempts to contest it.
Trump remains adamant in denying all allegations against him, and despite facing legal proceedings and public outcry, he continues to maintain his innocence. The growing list of legal troubles facing Trump raises significant questions about his past conduct and its implications on his public persona.
As more individuals come forward sharing their experiences, the dialogue surrounding sexual assault and accountability remains crucial in contemporary discourse. For those affected by such incidents, support is available through various organisations dedicated to helping survivors.
If you or someone you know needs assistance, reaching out to the National Sexual Assault Hotline is an important step.
