Olympic gymnast Simone Biles has recently experienced a significant chapter in her life, selling her Houston-area residence just four days after listing it on the market. Biles, alongside her husband, NFL player Jonathan Owens, built a custom Texas home which they refer to as their “dream home,” following an extensive planning and construction process.

In an emotional TikTok video shared on 21st October, Biles spoke candidly about her feelings regarding the sale. With tears streaming down her face, the 29-year-old recounted the multitude of memories she had accumulated in the home over the six years of living there, a period during which she claims to have matured into adulthood. “Why the f— am I boohoo crying? F—. This house will be on the market for the first time and I don’t know why I’m boohoo crying,” she expressed, clearly caught off guard by her emotions.
Biles reflected on her time in the Houston home, acknowledging both the joyful and challenging moments she had encountered. “I feel like I grew up in this house. It made me a real adult, so I’m gonna miss it. Ugh, I didn’t think I’d be emotional about a house,” she admitted. In her heartfelt video, Biles also pleaded for the new owners to find happiness in the home, stating, “Whoever buys this house, I hope it brings you as much joy as it did for me.”

The property, which boasts a spacious 3,998 square feet, was listed on 26th September and quickly went under contract by 1st October, eventually closing the sale on 15th October. According to the Houston Business Journal, the home fetched a price within the range of £1.08 million to £1.24 million.
In the comments section of her TikTok post, Biles responded to viewers speculating about her motivations for selling. She clarified that this house was distinct from the new one she and Owens had recently constructed, highlighting that they had designed their current residence from the ground up.
The journey of building the couple’s Texas mansion began in November 2020 and was not without its hurdles. After a year-long design process, they waited for approval from the local Homeowners Association, ultimately breaking ground in February 2022. It wasn’t until November 2025 that their house was completed, marking the end of a lengthy adventure in custom home building.
In a previous interview, Biles shared insights into the design process, stating how both she and Owens contributed their ideas to shape the home. They were keen to ensure their new abode reflected their individual tastes while serving as a welcoming space for family and friends.
Since moving into their custom home, the couple have shared glimpses of their life together, including leisure time spent by the pool and more intimate moments such as sweet kisses at sporting events. Biles, who has amassed a significant social media presence, provided her followers with updates on her life, which includes her wedding to Owens in April 2023 and their journey together since they began dating in March 2020.
With so much change occurring in her personal life, the sale of her Houston home marks not just a transition in real estate but a bittersweet farewell to a significant part of her past. As Biles continues to embrace new beginnings with her husband, she undoubtedly carries forward the cherished memories that her former home provided.
