Singer-Songwriter Found Dead in His Florida Backyard Pool Following ‘Suspicious’ Incident 

A man was discovered dead in a swimming pool at a residence in Weston, Florida, on Friday, 16 October. The deceased has been identified by family members as Gustavo Ormo, a Venezuelan singer and composer known professionally as Gus Ormo. Although the details surrounding the incident are still being clarified, authorities have classified the death as “suspicious.”

Emergency responders from the Broward Sheriff’s Office (BSO) were dispatched to the scene at approximately 9 a.m. local time following reports of a possible drowning at a property located on Quail Roost Drive. Upon arrival, they encountered an adult male submerged in the pool and pronounced him dead at the scene.

While the identity of the victim has yet to be officially confirmed by law enforcement, various outlets including the Miami Herald, Miami New Times, and CBS News have reported that family members have recognised the deceased as Ormo.
