Teddi Mellencamp, known for her role on “The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills,” recently expressed her apprehension regarding her forthcoming medical scans, marking the first such examinations in four months. In an Instagram story posted on 14 October, Mellencamp detailed her day, stating, “It’s immunotherapy today, up bright and early.” She highlighted the added anxiety stemming from the fact that it was also scan day, which is a significant moment for anyone undergoing treatment for serious health issues. “I haven’t had my scans done in about four months,” she noted, showing a level of vulnerability and honesty regarding her health journey.
Mellencamp has been undergoing treatment for stage 4 melanoma, a serious form of skin cancer that she was initially diagnosed with in 2022. In 2025, the cancer tragically spread to her brain and lungs, prompting her to undergo brain surgery to remove four tumours. Since then, she has been receiving regular immunotherapy treatments, which have become a crucial part of her battle.

In her post, Mellencamp described the procedures she was about to undergo, mentioning both MRI and CT scans, admitting, “I’ll never remember the names, no matter how hard I try.” Following her scans, she shared another update from what she referred to as “the world’s coldest waiting room,” where she awaited the results from her doctor. This waiting period is often described as one of the most challenging times for patients, and Mellencamp echoed this sentiment, stating, “This is when I am the most anxious.”
As she awaited results, Mellencamp provided a glimpse into her reality by showcasing another image of herself relaxing in a treatment chair with an IV drip attached to her arm, as she also recovered from an upper blepharoplasty. Despite the circumstances, she conveyed a sense of relief, announcing, “All the cancer scans came back good. Immunotherapy time and ice time for blephy poo.”
Her journey as a cancer patient has been marked by resilience and a commitment to sharing her experiences with the public. Mellencamp was informed by doctors in October 2025 that she had “no detectable cancer.” Despite this positive news, she clarified in later statements that she is “not considered in remission,” indicating the ongoing nature of her health struggle.
In January 2026, during an appearance on her podcast “Two T’s in a Pod,” she reiterated that there was “no trace of cancer,” showcasing her determination to remain hopeful while acknowledging the complexities of her condition. Mellencamp has consistently used her platform to raise awareness about melanoma, actively encouraging her followers to prioritise their health and schedule skin checks. She has often advised others, “Don’t be like me and put cancer screening off. Getting screened helped give me more options and information.”
The journey through such a daunting diagnosis is both personal and public for Mellencamp, who has been candid about her experiences and the emotions that accompany ongoing treatment. As she continues to navigate her health challenges, Mellencamp remains steadfast in her mission to encourage awareness and proactive health measures among her fans.
In sharing each step of her journey—from the initial diagnosis to the current treatment phases—Mellencamp fosters a sense of community among those affected by similar battles. Her openness serves as a beacon of hope for many and reinforces the importance of regular health screenings, especially for conditions as serious as cancer.
