In her video, filmed while she was at a treatment centre, the 20-year-old candidly recounted her recent experiences. This candidness follows a series of challenging incidents, including her arrest in May for a domestic violence incident linked to a family dispute. Five months later, Milania acknowledged the immense emotional toll she has faced, particularly after the loss of her best friend, Victoria.

“Honestly, I was going to wait until I looked better, but that’s not who I am,” Milania said, introducing her TikTok message. The raw nature of her video highlighted her determination to embrace authenticity, while also taking responsibility for how she has utilised her online platform. She reflected on her childhood aspirations to be of help to others, stating, “Since I was a little kid, I told my family that I want to help people in life.”
Milania delved deeper into her mental health challenges, revealing that she has been diagnosed with bipolar disorder, depression, anxiety, PTSD, and ADHD. “This summer hit me like a bus,” she admitted, remarking on how rapidly her life had changed. She empathised with others who might face similar struggles, recognising the difficulty of navigating personal turmoil in the public eye.
Her mother, Teresa, has been a source of support during this difficult time. In a recent statement, Milania’s manager and family friend, Maria DeSantis, outlined the love and backing Milania receives from her family and friends. “Milania is deeply loved by her family and friends, and all of us are doing everything we can to support her,” DeSantis stated. She also emphasised that Milania is under professional care and is open to sharing her journey in hopes of helping others.
Milania’s tumultuous few months have been marked by various incidents, including her arrest in May. Reports indicated that she entered a plea of not guilty for charges related to the incident, and her attorney confirmed she would undergo an anger management programme. Additionally, the young influencer faced scrutiny after an Instagram Stories post that allegedly depicted a heated exchange with her mother and older sister, Gia.
The impact of these events has not gone unnoticed by Teresa Giudice, who took to social media to express her love for Milania. Teresa has requested compassion and privacy for her family as they navigate these challenging times together. “We ask for kindness and respect as we focus on healing,” she stated in her message, underscoring the importance of family support.
Milania, a student at the University of Tampa, remains committed to turning her life around. In her TikTok video, she concluded her message on a hopeful note, saying, “I want to do better and I’m going to continue working on myself.” Her openness may serve as a source of encouragement for others facing similar challenges, reaffirming the importance of seeking help and prioritising mental health.
As Milania embarks on her journey of recovery and self-discovery, she reinforces the need for honest conversations about mental health, especially amongst young people. Her story sheds light on the complexities of growing up in the public eye while facing personal struggles, advocating for both understanding and support from the community at large.
