Preston and Brianna Arsement, popularly known as PrestonPlayz and BriannaPlayz on YouTube, have announced the delightful news that they are expecting their first child together. The couple, who have enjoyed a lasting marriage of more than eight years, revealed they will welcome their baby in March 2024.

In a statement shared with PEOPLE, Brianna expressed her excitement about entering this new phase of their lives. “I’m beyond thrilled for this next chapter,” she said. Reflecting on their time together, she noted, “Preston and I have been married for over eight years now, so in some ways it feels like a long time coming. At the same time, I’m incredibly grateful that we had so many years that were just the two of us.”
The couple has cherished many adventures and experiences together, travelling and collaborating as creators in the gaming world. Brianna feels that their lives were ready for a new addition. “Recently, it was beginning to feel like there was a piece missing, and we both felt ready for this next season,” she shared. They also expressed a desire to possibly expand their family further in the future, making this the ideal time for them to start.
The pregnancy was a surprise that Brianna orchestrated while hosting her parents and several international guests at their home. Deciding to keep the news under wraps until after a day of work, she took a pregnancy test that morning without revealing her findings to Preston. That evening, she prepared a special surprise by arranging baby clothes, a Bible verse, and the positive test result in their closet.
“I wanted to make the moment as special as I could,” Brianna explained. Although the presence of guests meant they could not be as vocal in their celebrations, she was determined to create a memorable experience for her husband.
When it came time to share their joyous news with their families, Brianna described the experience as “so exciting.” To create a moment of suspense, they initially framed the announcement as a toy unboxing video on her YouTube channel. After two rounds of ordinary toy reveals, the couple unveiled their pregnancy announcement, including the first sonogram. The surprise left their parents speechless and thrilled, with heartfelt responses affirming they had been hoping for a grandchild.
As they await the arrival of their baby, Preston and Brianna have not yet determined the child’s sex, but Brianna hinted at a thoughtful reveal they have planned. “Hopefully we can turn it into a fun video and have everyone guessing Team Boy or Team Girl,” she noted. Preston, who has shared conflicting thoughts about the baby’s sex, mentioned he initially believed it would be a boy but later dreamt they would have a girl.
While the couple has some names in mind, Brianna explained they are being selective about their choice. “I want something unique, but not so unique that people have no idea how to pronounce it,” she elaborated. They are considering family names and biblical references, though they have yet to settle on their favourite.

Looking ahead, Brianna shared her feelings about this next chapter of their lives, acknowledging a mix of excitement and anxiety as new parents. “Of course there’s a little anxiety because this is completely new and I don’t fully know what to expect, but more than anything, I’m just excited,” she said.
