**Student Survives 70-Foot Plunge During Multi-Vehicle Collision in Ogden**

A Kansas State University student is currently recuperating in hospital following a dramatic incident where she jumped off a bridge to escape a multi-vehicle crash. Kyra Kinnison, a junior studying animal science and production management, fell approximately 70 feet during the chaos on Saturday, September 26.

The accident occurred on Highway K-18 near the East Riley Avenue off-ramp in Ogden. Emergency services arrived at the scene to discover that Kinnison, who was standing on the shoulder of the road, had leapt from the bridge in a bid to avoid being hit by a car that was skidding to avoid other vehicles and debris.

First responders from the Manhattan Fire Department acted swiftly, using high-angle rescue equipment to retrieve Kinnison from below the bridge. She was transported to Ascension Via Christi Hospital in critical condition. The quick response and coordination among various emergency agencies were commended by MFD Battalion Chief Keith Habbart, who praised the professionalism displayed by the responders.

In a heartwarming update shared via the fundraising platform, Celeen noted that Kinnison underwent surgery on the evening following the incident to realign her hips.
