In a remarkable academic achievement, Ashrit Talluri, a 14-year-old student from Georgia, has achieved a perfect score of 1600 on the SAT, a feat that typically requires extensive preparation and dedication. As a ninth grader currently enrolled at Innovation Academy, Talluri’s success comes after five months of rigorous study, demonstrating not only his academic prowess but also his commitment to helping his peers.

Before embarking on this journey, Talluri attended Fulton Academy of Science and Technology, where he completed over 14 high school credits while still in middle school. His academic journey was augmented by participation in college-level summer programmes at renowned institutions such as Harvard and Rice universities. This advanced preparation laid a solid foundation for his performance on the SAT, a standardised test essential for college admissions in the United States.
In January, Ashrit registered for the SAT, and for the following five months, he devoted himself to focused study. Utilising resources such as tutoring sessions, educational YouTube videos, and completing numerous practice tests, Talluri honed his skills. He reportedly achieved a perfect score on three practice tests, which helped build his confidence for the actual exam.
When the test day arrived, Talluri experienced a mix of excitement and nerves, especially regarding the reading and writing sections, which he found particularly challenging. However, he managed to quell his anxiety through deep breathing techniques and maintained a calm disposition, ultimately allowing him to perform at his best.
Upon receiving his results, Talluri was overwhelmed with emotion. “When I saw that 1600, I had to wipe my eyes a couple of times,” he shared in an interview.
