Simone Biles, the celebrated Olympic gymnast, has recounted a terrifying experience involving the theft of her car from her Chicago residence earlier this year. In a recent TikTok post, Biles revealed that three masked individuals broke into her home and snatched her Porsche GTS, a shocking incident that left her feeling the need for enhanced security.

Reflecting on the event, Biles shared, “I feel like I need a new car because during our last few months in Chicago, three men in masks came to our house and stole my Porsche.” Although the vehicle was recovered following the theft, the experience has prompted Biles to consider purchasing a new car as she ventures forward. In her TikTok video, she suggested that the full story behind the incident is “a story for another time,” hinting at the anxiety and disruption the ordeal brought into her life.
Amidst the unsettling experiences, Biles mentioned how she sometimes feels as if her life resembles that of a reality show. She stated, “The things that happen to me are absolutely insanity,” implying that her life is filled with situations that could easily captivate an audience. Moreover, she highlighted that one of the recent changes in her life has been the acquisition of a Doberman, which she and her husband, Jonathan Owens, hope will bolster their home security.
In her TikTok video, Biles was getting ready to collect her new car, emphasising her forward-looking attitude despite the previous scare. She posted alongside her video, “yes we recovered the car, onto the next,” affirming her resilience in the face of adversity.

In February, during a trip to Milan for the 2026 Winter Olympics, Owens shared a close call on social media where an attempted robbery took place. He recounted how a thief attempted to snatch his shopping bag while he was out walking. The couple, who are now based in Indianapolis, have established their primary residence in Texas. Biles recently spoke with PEOPLE about her decision to temporarily relocate to support her husband, who is now a player for the Indianapolis Colts. Owens signed a one-year contract with the team in March, and Biles is eager to be by his side during the upcoming NFL season.
“I’ve been in Houston most of the time, so I’m going to officially move there [to Indianapolis] a little bit later,” Biles explained, noting her commitment to supporting Owens as he embarks on this new chapter of his career.
