In a heartfelt announcement, Coach Lamb revealed that Kayla was found unresponsive last Wednesday morning around 7 a.m. He extended condolences to her family and the wider athletic community, stating, “We had a tragic death in our football family. One of our coach’s wives, John Beckley, passed away suddenly of a medical emergency.” At the time of her passing, Saager-Beckley was pregnant with their daughter, named Sawyer.
