Olympic gymnast Simone Biles is gearing up for an exciting chapter in her life as she prepares to move to Indianapolis. In an exclusive interview with PEOPLE, Biles revealed her plans to relocate to support her husband, Jonathan Owens, who recently signed a one-year contract with the Indianapolis Colts. This news comes in the wake of Owens’ announcement, made earlier this year, solidifying his place in the NFL.

Biles, who tends to split her time between Houston and her new home in Texas, expressed her enthusiasm for calling Indianapolis her home for the football season. “I’ve been in Houston most of the time, so I’m going to officially move there [to Indianapolis] a little bit later,” Biles shared on September 8. She remarked on the beauty of the stadium and her eagerness to watch her husband play, stating that her main priority is his well-being and enjoyment of the game.
On September 13, Owens participated in his first game with the Colts, where a heartfelt moment unfolded between the couple, as they shared a pre-game kiss and performed a special handshake before he hit the field to face the Baltimore Ravens. This bond is evidently strong, demonstrating their support for each other both personally and professionally.
Following Owens’ signing with the Colts on March 18, Biles took to social media to celebrate the milestone. She posted on Instagram, expressing her excitement about their new life in the city. “Excited to call Indy home this upcoming football season 💙 Beyond proud of you @jowens! Keep defeating the odds, I love you,” she captioned a series of photographs from their visit to Indianapolis.
This upcoming relocation to Indianapolis comes nearly a year after Biles celebrated the completion of her new home in Texas, a venture that took nearly five years to materialise. In November 2025, Biles described the lengthy process of building their waterfront mansion, sharing that it required significant patience throughout its development.
She also detailed the extensive planning that went into the project, which began with design work in 2020. The construction faced delays but eventually began in February 2022, culminating in a finished home by November 2025. Biles shared the intricate details of their home, showcasing features such as a spacious kitchen outfitted with two islands, one boasting a striking waterfall countertop.
In one of her posts, Biles highlighted not just the kitchen but her expansive laundry room, which includes four machines, and a special area dedicated to her dog. This personal touch adds to the warmth and character of their newly constructed home.
In June of this year, Biles offered glimpses of their newly designed space through her social media, revealing her luxurious bedroom and an outdoor kitchen adjacent to the pool. Their collaborative effort in designing the home illustrates the strong partnership both she and Owens share.
The couple’s relationship blossomed after they met on the dating app Raya in March 2020. Following a whirlwind romance, they became engaged in February 2022, eventually tying the knot in a courthouse wedding in April 2023, before enjoying a larger celebration in Mexico a month later.
Biles’ decision to support her husband’s career in Indianapolis marks a significant move both personally and professionally. With her deep commitment to family and love for Owens, the Olympic champion seems thoroughly ready for this new adventure. As the NFL season begins, fans are sure to see Biles cheering on her husband from the stands, highlighting the loving partnership that has flourished between these two stars.
