“I was at home from the hospital and I thought, ‘Wow, I don’t know if I can do it,’” she reflected. Early in her motherhood journey, she packed a car seat, a guitar, and a guitar case before setting off for the audition.
The audition was conducted under unconventional circumstances; Daily arrived at the studio late in the evening and performed with her baby by her side. “I put the baby down, played guitar, sang, and read my lines. Then I left and went home,” she recalled. Much to her surprise, Daily soon received a call from her agent confirming she had landed the part.
