A fundraising campaign has been launched on GoFundMe to provide support for Madison, the five-month-old daughter of Erin Piacenti, a 32-year-old Bank of America executive who was tragically killed in a violent incident in Times Square. Erin lost her life on 31 August, leaving behind her newborn daughter and a grieving family who are now rallying together during this difficult time.

Erin was returning home from work for the first time since giving birth when she was fatally attacked by Pamela Cisneros, aged 49. The assault occurred as Erin, described by her loved ones as a “thoughtful daughter, sister, loyal friend, and devoted partner”, was heading home from her job at Bank of America. A graduate of the University of Pennsylvania and later Fordham Law School, Erin’s ambition had always been to raise a family, and her daughter Madison was the culmination of that dream.

Prior to her heartbreaking death, Erin had celebrated her second wedding anniversary with her husband, Frank. Just weeks earlier, the family had returned from a road trip and were excitedly preparing to build their life together with their new child. Tak Kam, a 68-year-old visitor from out of town, was also attacked by Cisneros but is reported to be recovering in hospital.
