Ali Landry, the well-known actress and former beauty queen, has navigated a multifaceted career spanning three decades. At the age of 53, Landry remains a prominent figure in the entertainment industry, although she acknowledges that reality television is not the avenue she wishes to pursue.

Despite being approached with numerous opportunities to participate in various reality shows, Landry has consistently turned them down. Her brief appearances on *The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills* were primarily due to friendships with existing cast members, rather than a desire to join the show permanently. “I do not see myself as a reality star,” she remarked in an interview with *PEOPLE*.
Reflecting on her past, Landry disclosed that one of the first offers she turned down was for *Dancing with the Stars*. At the time, she was grappling with a difficult breakup and had just entered a relationship with her now-husband. “I was engaged then, and I felt that being so physically close to another partner while dancing could jeopardise my relationship,” Landry explained. “People often dismiss the intimacy involved, but it can lead to emotional complexities.”
Over the years, more invitations to join shows, particularly *The Real Housewives*, have come her way. “Many of my friends still participate in the programme, and I would often attend their events,” Landry acknowledged. Despite this social connection, she believes that reality TV does not align with her vision for a fulfilling life.
Landry emphasises the importance of inner peace and personal integrity. “I engage in practices such as meditation, prayer, and journaling to clarify what I want my life to resemble,” she outlined. For her, the guiding principles are peace, truth, and joy—qualities she does not believe are compatible with the often tumultuous world of reality television.
While she appreciates the successes of her friends on such shows, noting that they can lead to new business ventures, Landry is acutely aware of both the highs and lows that come with reality fame. “It can certainly seem enjoyable from the outside, and I thrive in a communal setting. However, I have observed the struggles that accompany it. I ultimately decided it was not worth it for me,” she recounted.
Currently, Landry is focusing on a variety of film and television projects. “A film my husband wrote and directed, which we had kept aside for about five years, has finally been released and is doing exceptionally well. We’re now touring globally to promote it,” she shared.
Adding to her busy schedule, Landry recently completed filming another movie in New York and Italy, and another in Morocco titled *Zero ID*, which is set for release this autumn. Along with her professional commitments, she also juggles managing the busy lives of her three children, who are 13, 15, and 19 years old.
Landry is especially excited about her daughter, who is beginning her own music career and has released songs on Spotify. “She’s entering her sophomore year of college and is currently exploring music development. It’s exciting, but it definitely adds to the whirlwind of activities I’m managing,” she noted.
In addition to her business pursuits, Landry also frequents basketball tournaments with her son, effectively balancing her time between her career and her children’s activities. “It feels like I am managing two jobs—one during the day and another in the afternoon, which is dedicated to my children’s events and commitments.”
With such a full agenda, Landry understands the necessity of carving out moments for herself, a practice she prioritises at the start of each day. “Those quiet moments allow me to reconnect with what truly matters. Without them, life can become overwhelming, and I find myself questioning how I ended up in certain situations,” she explained.
While she celebrates her friends who thrive in reality television, Landry remains certain of her own path, defined by the values she holds dear. She cherishes the peace and clarity she finds in her decisions, striving to live in the present while pursuing her passions both personally and professionally.
