The incident resulted in the heartbreaking loss of her arm and required numerous surgeries for her recovery.

During the interview, Stewart revealed chilling memories from the attack, recalling, “Its face was horrific. I will never forget its face. It was a monster.” At that moment of terror, her thoughts drifted to her 18-month-old daughter, August. Overcome with emotion, she expressed, “It was holding on to my leg, and then I just thought of August, and I thought, ‘She’s not going to have a mum.’ I couldn’t handle that. I didn’t want her to grow up without a mum.” This instinct to survive propelled Stewart through a life-threatening situation.
