In the podcast aired on 20th August, the 41-year-old discussed her intentions of preparing for an egg transfer after navigating a painful journey post the birth of her son, Sonny, who is now nine years old. Port, who shares Sonny with her husband Tim Rosenman, described her previous attempts at expanding her family as emotionally and physically demanding. “After I had Sonny, I experienced five miscarriages. The emotional and physical torture from those experiences was overwhelming, making it difficult for me to try again,” she shared candidly.
After her miscarriages, Port and Rosenman opted for surrogacy, but this journey also ended without success. The couple now has two remaining embryos and Port feels optimistic. “If I went to the doctor and everything looked good, I would proceed. Now that I’ve done that and received positive feedback, I’m ready to move forward.”

Despite her eagerness, Port emphasised that her hernia surgery must precede the egg transfer. “I’m proud of how far I’ve come. I wish I didn’t have to deal with this hernia, but I am determined, and my fear will not dictate my decisions,” she stated.
Describing the hernia, which she has dealt with for some time, Port explained: “It’s like this ball right here,” while gesturing to her groin area. According to medical sources, a hernia occurs when an organ or tissue protrudes through the surrounding muscle. Port speculated that her condition might relate to a femoral hernia, known to push fatty tissue through the femoral canal.
While there are no immediate concerns regarding her ability to undergo the egg transfer, her medical team cautioned that the condition could worsen, potentially causing considerable pain or complications during pregnancy. “It’s not an urgent situation, but I want to address it before proceeding,” she noted, highlighting her desire for a smooth pregnancy journey.
Port has placed significant focus on her overall health, aspiring to create an optimal environment for her remaining embryos. “My goal is to be mentally and physically serene. I want to nurture my body, ensure adequate rest, avoid harmful habits, and cultivate a positive mindset,” she expressed, emphasising that her journey is not solely about conception, but rather about holistic well-being.
She elaborated further on her intentions, stating, “It’s not about turning into the healthiest person alive or making pregnancy my sole identity. It’s about identifying what keeps me grounded and fulfilled. I want both myself and the embryos to have the best possible chance, and I want to be free from regrets in this journey.”
As Port embarks on this new chapter, her commitment to her health and wellness shines through. Audiences have resonated with her candidness regarding the struggles she has faced and her determination to embrace the next steps. The forthcoming hernia surgery appears to be a necessary hurdle on her path to motherhood once more. As she continues to share her story, many are encouraged by Port’s resilience and her unwavering hope for the future.
