NBA star Trey Jemison and his wife, sports broadcaster Alex Jean Glover, recently celebrated their wedding in an unforgettable ceremony in Tennessee. The event unfolded on August 21, more than a year after the couple secretly eloped in Antigua on August 3, 2025. Their surprise reveal, which took place during the reception, left guests astonished as they discovered the couple was already legally married.

The joyous occasion took place at Southall Meadows in Franklin, near Nashville, where around 100 of their closest friends and family gathered. The couple, who met in the summer of 2024, decided to host a grand celebration to mark their union, envisioning it as a “once-in-a-lifetime” experience. Jemison, who is a former member of the New York Knicks’ 2025-2026 championship team, expressed his excitement about bringing together their loved ones in one place for the first time.
During the planning phase, logistics proved challenging for the couple. Jemison, 26, was heavily involved in his NBA season which peaked with the Knicks clinching the coveted Larry O’Brien Championship Trophy, leaving Glover, 25, to manage most of the wedding details. Reflecting on the planning process, Glover shared, “I actually did a TikTok that went viral with him during the Playoffs, and he knew nothing about the wedding!”
Though Jemison’s commitments posed hurdles, Glover worked closely with their wedding planner, Susanna from Lumi Accents, to ensure their celebration embodied the vision they desired. The couple struck upon a Western chic theme, featuring a colour palette of green, brown, and cream, complemented by elegant floral arrangements. A mechanical bull was included in the festivities, which Glover described as a “non-negotiable” element.
The wedding was distinctive in that it forwent a traditional ceremony. Instead, the couple presented a surprise video for their guests that included clips of their elopement in the Caribbean alongside candid moments revealing their marriage news. This unconventional choice allowed for an extended cocktail hour that boasted live music, a hat bar, and even a custom cornhole game, all while tantalising appetisers were served.
Guests enjoyed a buffet dinner featuring Southern delicacies, including a mixed greens salad, smoked beef brisket, and sweet cornbread. Since the couple isn’t particularly fond of cake, they opted for a small wedding cake alongside a larger sheet cake, and delighted their guests with an ice cream cart offering custom flavours.
For her special day, Glover selected a stunning lace gown from Vow’d Nashville, which showcased an A-line silhouette, modern details, and even featured a slit at the leg. “I wanted something I could wear with my cowgirl hat and boots that would fit the vibe,” she noted. Jemison, who stands at 6-foot-10, looked sharp in a bespoke suit that was tailored to meet his stature.
The couple shared their first dance to Rascal Flatts’ “Bless the Broken Road,” followed by special dances with their parents. Their romantic story began with a simple social media message that blossomed into deep conversations and an undeniable connection, leading to their engagement shortly before their elopement.
Looking toward the future, both Jemison and Glover expressed excitement about starting a family and exploring the world together, with plans to make Canada their home.
