In a statement shared with the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) on August 14, the company specified that the recall pertains to its 8-ounce packets of Lacnola Lactation Granola, identified by the UPC code 850035324554. Batch codes HGLC-102125 and HGLC-021326 are tied to products with expiration dates of October 21, 2025, and February 13, 2027, respectively. These items were sold online, including through major retailers such as Amazon, between October 21, 2025, and August 12, 2026.
Customers in possession of the affected granola are urged to dispose of the product and seek refunds from the point of purchase. The company reassured its consumers that, as of yet, no illnesses have been reported in connection with the consumption of Lacnola Lactation Granola.
The contamination risk was first identified when The Hampton Grocer was alerted by supplier Food to Live. It was revealed that an Organic SuperGreens Powder Mix, which included ingredients used in the granola, tested positive for Salmonella. The precise source of the contamination remains undetermined at this time.
The FDA had previously announced Food to Live’s nationwide recall of certain green powder items on August 7 after a positive Salmonella sample was found during retail testing.
