John Summit, the acclaimed DJ and producer, has announced a hiatus from touring for the remainder of August to focus on his well-being ahead of his upcoming arena tour. On August 17, Summit shared his decision via a candid note on Instagram, revealing that he would be cancelling his scheduled summer festival performances, including notable events such as Pukkelpop, Creamfields, Radio 1 Malta, and Touquet festivals.

In his message, Summit expressed, “After much thought, I have decided to take the rest of August off of touring to rest & get ready for my upcoming arena tour.” He acknowledged that this decision was not made lightly, stating, “I rarely ever do this but there is so much work to do for the tour and I need to recharge my battery a bit before this fall. Thanks for understanding.”
The electronic dance music (EDM) artist has already performed extensively throughout the year and is gearing up for a series of international shows in September. This includes his own Experts Only Festival in New York City, scheduled for September 19-20. Following that, Summit will embark on his Ctrl Escape Tour across North America, running from October through December. He is expected to feature in various festival slots in Oceania in December and January 2027.
Summit’s announcement comes shortly after he revealed details about the final date of his Ctrl Escape Tour, which will culminate at the iconic Los Angeles Coliseum on December 12. Reflecting on his connection to Los Angeles, he noted, “Over the years, LA has made some of the most special moments of my career… we knew we had to end the album tour on the highest note in Los Angeles.” The artist expressed excitement for this momentous occasion, stating, “Stoked to announce we’re closing out my North American tour with one night only at the iconic LA Coliseum.”
His latest album, “Ctrl Escape,” was released in April 2026 and has been well-received, breaking into the top 10 of the Billboard Top U.S. Dance Albums chart. The album showcases an array of collaborations, featuring notable artists like The Chainsmokers, Nija, Devault, and more, signifying Summit’s growing influence within the music industry.
