Previously, Amabile shared that the glioma was discovered during a full-body MRI scan facilitated by the medical imaging company Prenuvo. He had received alarming news following the scan that led to further investigations, including a brain MRI, which revealed a lesion the size of a blueberry in his brain.

Reflecting on the diagnosis in a social media post on 13 July, Amabile described his surprise at the discovery. “So I now need to get brain surgery [in two weeks] to get it removed and get it tested, and then we’re gonna go from there,” he commented, revealing that the past weeks had been unexpectedly tumultuous.

In a podcast episode from 16 July titled *Not Married to This*, Pitt reassured fans about Amabile’s recovery journey. She informed listeners that the medical team anticipated a brief hospital stay followed by a few weeks of at-home recovery before he could return to normal activities. “We hope that you guys take away from this to advocate for yourself, ask questions.
