Jennifer Blagg, a 34-year-old mother, and her six-year-old daughter Abby seemingly vanished from their Grand Junction home on 13 November 2001. Reports from Michael Blagg, Jennifer’s husband, indicated that he left the house for work at approximately 6 a.m., believing his family was still inside. However, upon his return later that day, he discovered a large pool of blood in their bedroom along with Abby’s clothes prepared for school, yet neither Jennifer nor Abby was anywhere to be found.

In his distress, Michael Blagg called 911, describing himself as “distraught and inconsolable.” Statements made by paramedics on the scene revealed he was visibly shaken and sobbing. This emotional turmoil was juxtaposed with the growing suspicions surrounding his involvement in the mysterious disappearance.
