Goodsell purchased kratom gummy supplements at a local petrol station after her husband, Mike Goodsell, suggested them for relief. “Everybody knew what kratom was. So, I was like, ‘Well, here, just take this.’ You could just buy it at the gas station. It’s not going to hurt you,” Mike recalled. Though she remains on a path to recovery, Amanda will require a defibrillator and ongoing heart medication for the foreseeable future.
