Popular podcaster Alex Cooper has provided her followers with an update regarding her pregnancy journey, which she initially announced in May. Cooper, host of the successful podcast *Call Her Daddy*, took to Instagram Stories to discuss her recent experiences following a doctor’s appointment.

On 22nd July, the 31-year-old shared how she recently underwent a glucose test essential for monitoring blood sugar levels during pregnancy. In a candid message accompanying a selfie, Cooper revealed she had not succeeded on the one-hour glucose test and thus had to undergo a more extensive three-hour test. Describing the process as “not fun”, she outlined the challenges she faced, including a series of four blood tests administered over three hours without any food or water prior.
In her post, she expressed how the sugary drink given for the test made her baby kick energetically, leaving her feeling light-headed. She recounted, “I got home and finally ate something then fainted. What a wild experience.” Despite the difficulties, she expressed gratitude for the care provided by her nurse during the testing, remarking, “Pregnancy is such a beautiful but also really wild ride.” She extended her support to others facing the same lengthy testing, encouraging them regardless of their results.
In the following slide, Cooper shared a video from her gym session as she reflected on her current state of pregnancy. She expressed her commitment to preparing her body for the challenges of childbirth through yoga, admitting it has been quite the adjustment for her, as she is not typically inclined towards such practices. “I still can’t believe I’m pregnant,” she noted, acknowledging the physical realities of pregnancy, including the pressure on her stomach that makes sleeping difficult.
Cooper conveyed mixed emotions about her pregnancy, stating, “Some days I’m still like, ‘oh, this is really happening,’” while maintaining a determination to keep active. She light-heartedly stated her cravings for donuts but emphasised her desire to engage in yoga first. “To any other women who are pregnant, I see you, and we got this,” she reassured her audience, fostering a sense of community among expectant mothers.
The announcement of her pregnancy initially came on 17th May, when Cooper shared two photographs featuring herself and her husband, Matt Kaplan. She simply captioned the post with the phrase “Our family ❤️,” prominently displaying her baby bump, illuminating their joy for the next chapter in their lives. Sources close to the couple later confirmed to *PEOPLE* that any claims of marital tension were unfounded, asserting that the couple was genuinely excited about the impending arrival of their little one.
Cooper and Kaplan, a Hollywood producer aged 42, exchanged vows in April 2024 in a picturesque ceremony held in Riviera Maya, Mexico. In a subsequent interview with *Vogue*, Cooper described the wedding as “everything we wanted it to be,” while highlighting the emotional and heartfelt nature of their special day. She also pointed out that their vision shaped the nuptials, allowing for a relaxed and intimate atmosphere.
Kaplan took the lead in the wedding planning, ensuring it reflected their desires. “We weren’t looking to have a formal wedding,” he stated. They aimed for an event that felt more personal and authentic rather than overly formal. “From the decor to the festivities, it all was very naturally curated,” he added, capturing the essence of their relationship and their shared values.
The couple prioritised an intimate guest list, allowing them to fully engage with their loved ones and to relish the moments shared during such a significant time. Cooper expressed how important it was for the wedding to feel like a vacation both for them and their guests, reinforcing the idea of connection at the heart of their celebrations.
As Cooper embraces the changes that come with pregnancy, she continues to share her journey openly. With her candid updates and supportive words, she resonates with many expectant mothers navigating similar experiences. The prospect of parenthood is an exciting chapter for Cooper and Kaplan, who are clearly eager to welcome their new family member.
