“Falsettos” Broadway Revival Cast Reuniting for 10th Anniversary Benefit Concert

The stars of the acclaimed 2016 Broadway revival of *Falsettos* are set to reunite for a special one-night-only concert at Carnegie Hall this October. The original cast, which includes Christian Borle, Stephanie J. Block, Brandon Uranowitz, Andrew Rannells, Betsy Wolfe and Tracie Thoms, will take the stage on Sunday, 18th October, to celebrate the tenth anniversary of their beloved production.

The concert not only promises to be a memorable occasion for fans but will also serve a charitable purpose, with proceeds benefiting the BroadwayEveryDay Foundation and Family Equality. These organisations work to enhance access to the arts and promote equality for LGBTQ+ families, which ties in with the themes central to the musical itself.

*Falsettos*, originally created by William Finn and James Lapine, follows Marvin, a gay man grappling with love and loss during the early years of the AIDS crisis. His complex relationships with his lover Whizzer, ex-wife Trina, and their son Jason, form the heart of this poignant narrative. The musical merges Finn’s earlier works, *March of the Falsettos* and *Falsettoland*, and is celebrated for its insightful portrayal of chosen family and the multifaceted nature of human relationships.

The Lincoln Center Theatre revival premiered at the Walter Kerr Theatre on 27th October 2016, and it was met with critical acclaim, receiving five Tony Award nominations, including Best Revival of a Musical. In a bid to reach a broader audience, the production was also filmed for PBS’ *Live From Lincoln Center*, allowing many to appreciate its artistry from afar.

Andrew Rannells expressed his excitement about the reunion, noting that being part of the original revival is one of the highlights of his career. He described the opportunity to return to the stage at Carnegie Hall as “surreal” and “deeply meaningful,” acknowledging the lasting significance of Finn and Lapine’s work.

Betsy Wolfe and Tracie Thoms further highlighted the emotional weight of the upcoming concert.
