Nara, 24, is married to model and musician Lucky Blue Smith, and the couple has four children together. As she shared her latest thoughts with her followers, Nara expressed immense gratitude for the support and kindness they have received throughout this challenging period. In a heartfelt video lasting nearly two minutes, she stated, “I just wanted to come on here and say thank you so, so much for all your kind messages, prayers, support. It truly has meant so, so much to us.”

The influencer originally disclosed Whimsy’s diagnosis during an Instagram Reel posted on July 1. In her video, she recounted the moment she and her husband learned about their daughter’s illness late last year when they noticed something unusual concerning her health. After a visit to the emergency room and further examinations by a paediatrician, Nara described the heavy sensation in her heart as the doctor delivered the devastating news about Whimsy’s cancer diagnosis.

Following medical advice, Lucky took Whimsy to a nearby children’s hospital where, after a series of tests including X-rays and ultrasounds, they were informed that cancer had spread and that immediate chemotherapy was necessary. This news must have been incredibly tough for the young parents to process just as they navigated the challenges of parenthood.
Reflecting on their decision to share such a private aspect of their lives, Nara explained they were hesitant to discuss Whimsy’s condition initially. They wished to wait until her treatment had concluded and an outcome was clearer before speaking publicly. “We were debating on even sharing such a private part of our life,” she shared, adding, “Now that she’s finally in remission, it felt like I could find the words to share.”
In her message, Nara also aimed to highlight the often-concealed struggles families face when battling such illnesses. She noted the significant financial burden medical care can impose on families. “Going through chemo treatments opened my eyes to how expensive medical care is and what a toll it takes on families, specifically,” she said. In light of this revelation, Nara has committed to researching charities and foundations to support affected families, and she has begun sharing resources on her social media platforms.
As Nara and Lucky attempt to return to a sense of normalcy for themselves and their children, she candidly admitted that figuring out what ‘normal’ means post-cancer treatment feels uncertain. “I don’t know whether life will ever feel normal again, but we’re trying to navigate this next chapter the best that we can,” she explained. Despite the emotional ups and downs, Nara’s focus remains on healing and gratitude, stating, “Thank you so much to every single person for your kindness.”
Furthermore, Nara urged her followers to lend support to other families facing similar challenges by sharing a link to a GoFundMe page aimed at assisting those navigating their journeys with cancer. In her heartfelt Instagram post, she continued to extend her love to those still in the fight against childhood cancer, emphasising the importance of community and mutual support during difficult times.
Beyond Whimsy, Nara and Lucky are also parents to Rumble Honey, 5, Slim Easy, 4, and Fawnie Golden, who was born in September 2025. Lucky is additionally a father to daughter Gravity, whom he shares with model Stormi Bree. With their family growing and healing, Nara and Lucky are embarking on this latest chapter together, aiming to not only move forward but also make a positive impact on others fighting similar battles.
