Thieves Accused of Robbing a Tennessee Citgo Using Pythons: Police

Authorities in Madison County, Tennessee, are on the lookout for four individuals who are suspected of robbing a convenience store while brandishing pythons. The incident, which took place on March 4, involved two females and two males who allegedly stole $400 worth of CBD oil from a Citgo store in the area. The authorities have released surveillance footage images of the suspects on their CrimeStoppers Instagram account in the hopes of gathering more information from the public.
According to store employee Mayur Raval, who was present during the robbery along with his brother, the suspects entered the Citgo and began waving the pythons around, even placing them on the store counter. Raval described one of the pythons as white and the other as either brown or a mix. He mentioned that the thieves appeared to be prepared to steal more items but refrained due to the presence of several customers in the store at the time. Raval also highlighted the use of a python as a weapon in the robbery.
Pythons are non-venomous snakes known for their ability to suffocate their prey by coiling around them and applying pressure. They can reach lengths ranging from 22 inches to 33 feet and weigh up to 250 lbs, according to information from the San Diego Zoo.
