Bunnie Xo, the popular podcaster and author known for her candid discussions, recently opened up about undergoing cosmetic surgery during an episode of her podcast, “Dumb Blonde.” The revelation comes as part of a significant life transition following her divorce from musician Jelly Roll, which was filed in May.

During the July 10 episode, Bunnie, whose real name is Alisa DeFord, shared that she decided to have a breast augmentation to enhance the appearance of her breasts after experiencing changes due to weight loss. She mentioned that after shedding 20 pounds, she noticed that her breasts began to sag, describing them as resembling “ski slopes.” Bunnie expressed her desire to embrace this new phase of her life by making choices that reflect her personal desires.

This latest surgical procedure marks a return to a familiar practitioner, as Bunnie had previously undergone an implant removal in 2019. At that time, she experienced adverse health issues associated with what is commonly known as Breast Implant Illness, which led to symptoms that she later described as “lobster-claw sized” scar tissue causing swelling in her right breast.
In her podcast, Bunnie voiced her relief at feeling healthier following the recent surgery, stating that her previous experiences were overshadowed by a tumultuous time in her life filled with challenges, including substance abuse. She noted, “I did them differently this time than I did in 2019 when I was still detoxing from all of the trauma I had been through.”
Bunnie made it clear that her intention was not to drastically alter her appearance. Instead, she aimed for a more natural enhancement with smaller implants, specifically opting for 310cc in one breast and 300cc in the other. She remarked, “We did very, very small implants… I just needed them to perk back up.” This approach contrasts with her previous augmentation, which she felt had made her look “matronly.”
Throughout her narrative, Bunnie has been a staunch advocate for body positivity and personal choice. She emphasised that women should feel empowered to make decisions about their bodies, stating, “I always preach [a message of] love yourself, and if loving yourself means putting boobs in or getting work done, do whatever makes you happy and don’t let the world stop you.” Her encouraging words resonate with those exploring their own body image and self-esteem.
Moreover, Bunnie’s focus on self-love extends beyond breast augmentation. Earlier in the year, she also underwent a facelift to correct changes in her facial features attributed to past filler treatments. Addressing her experience on Instagram, she explained her struggles with lingering filler after stopping treatments three years ago, stating that it often caused unwanted swelling and itchiness.
Bunnie’s recent cosmetic procedures underscore her commitment to reclaiming her identity and self-confidence in the wake of personal upheaval. She celebrates her autonomy and encourages others to make choices that truly reflect who they are.
As she assesses her journey, Bunnie remains steadfast in inspiring others to embrace their unique stories and challenges. Her message champions the right to self-improvement and reinforces the notion that taking steps for one’s own happiness is a brave and worthwhile pursuit.
With her candid discussions on the podcast and her public presence, Bunnie Xo continues to engage with audiences seeking authenticity, making her a relatable figure during a time when many are navigating their own transformations.
