The couple’s love story began in College Station, Texas, when Reagan made a last-minute decision to attend a graduation dinner that ultimately led her to meet her future husband.

At the time, Reagan was working for Google in Austin and was invited by a college friend to celebrate a graduation at Texas A&M University. However, after making a two-hour journey to College Station, her friend opted for a restaurant in Houston, another hour and a half drive away. Despite her initial reluctance to continue driving, Reagan decided to prioritise her friend’s special day, stating, “I thought, ‘Alright, it’s your graduation. We’ll go to the dinner.’”
Upon their arrival in Houston, Reagan’s friend suggested picking up a friend of the dinner’s host, who turned out to be Alex Bregman. “I just showed up at his house and introduced myself, and he decided to join us for dinner,” she said. The two instantly clicked and ended up talking for four hours, setting the foundation for their relationship.
Despite the chemistry they shared, Reagan was cautious when Alex expressed his interest in seeing her again. “I was not really planning on meeting anyone that night, and I barely wanted to go out in the first place,” she admitted. “But we had a great time and hit it off. It’s wild to think about how things could have turned out differently if I hadn’t gone to that dinner.”
At that point, Reagan had no idea that Alex was an accomplished baseball player for the Houston Astros, nor did she comprehend the extent of his fame. She later explained, “I’ve received some criticism for not knowing who he was. I was living in Austin, immersed in the tech world, and didn’t follow baseball much.”
Curiosity got the best of her, and after the dinner, she turned to family for answers. “I texted my brother and asked if he knew who Alex Bregman was,” she recounted, laughing at the memory. “He was surprised and said, ‘Are you kidding? Who doesn’t know that?’ My entire family lives in Houston, so they were all aware of his notoriety.”
Reagan’s quick research included a Google search, one she was well-equipped to conduct given her tech background. “I Googled him and came across a lot of videos and interviews online,” she said. However, she maintains that she formed a connection with him on a personal level, rather than solely through his fame.
Just under a year after their initial meeting, Alex proposed to Reagan, and the couple married in a heartfelt ceremony at her parents’ house in Katy, Texas, in December 2020. Their family has since grown, with the birth of two sons: Knox, born in August 2022, and Bennett, who arrived in April 2025.
Reflecting on their journey, Reagan noted how serendipitous the night turned out to be. “You could say it was a home run,” she quipped, illustrating the joy and excitement they feel about their shared life and family. Today, the Bregmans are a prominent couple, balancing their personal and professional lives while sharing cherished moments as a family.
