Roth, who established his media company, The Horror Section, in 2025, has built a formidable reputation within the horror genre, captivating audiences with his unique storytelling approach. The Horror Section aims to cater specifically to horror enthusiasts by managing a premium intellectual property library encompassing unrestrained films, television series, games, podcasts, and curated experiences related to the horror culture.

Raoul Goff, Publisher and CEO of Insight Editions, expressed his enthusiasm for the partnership, highlighting Roth’s substantial following and profound understanding of the horror genre. “Eli Roth has built a global following through his distinct voice and deep understanding of the genre,” Goff remarked in a recent press release, demonstrating confidence that this partnership will elevate the boundaries of horror publishing.
The new range of books resulting from this collaboration is set to cover various formats, including fiction, lifestyle guides, and interactive experiences. Roth himself shared his vision for this endeavour, stating, “I have always wanted to start ideas in story form — some short, some long, some illustrated.” He noted that he is eager to transform his numerous untold stories into stunning collectible editions with the help of Insight Editions.
Excited about the potential of this collaboration, Roth claims he has hundreds of stories to share, many of which may not materialise into films. He believes the skilled team at Insight Editions is the right choice to help him bring those narratives to life. “I look forward to collaborating with them on every level. They’re an amazing team, and I’m so excited to work with them,” he said.
The partnership also aligns with Roth’s recent cinematic endeavors. His latest project, a horror-comedy film titled “Ice Cream Man,” depicts a neighbourhood spiralling into madness when an unassuming ice cream vendor’s treats transform children into dangerous killers. The film, which is anticipated to be a thrilling addition to Roth’s filmography, is due to hit cinemas on 7th August.
To celebrate the release of “Ice Cream Man” and to further promote the new publishing venture, Roth will be making an appearance at the San Diego Comic-Con. He is scheduled to sign posters for fans at the Insight Editions booth on 24th July from 5-6 p.m., promising an exhilarating interaction for his admirers.
As fans await the official launch of the horror book line in 2027, the prospect of Roth’s distinctive storytelling entering the literary realm has already generated considerable excitement among horror aficionados. The initiative reflects Roth’s commitment to exploring innovative ways of expressing the horror genre, underscoring his desire to create more immersive and engaging experiences for fans.
This partnership not only highlights the seamless blending of creativity across different media but also marks a significant moment in the intersection of film and literature, aiming to enrich the horror genre for a dedicated audience eager for fresh narratives. With Roth at the helm, the collaboration between The Horror Section and Insight Editions is poised to leave a notable mark on the horror publishing landscape in the coming years.
