In a bold move that combines personal transformation with educational outreach, 31-year-old Kailyn has become a forefront figure in the world of cosmetic surgery. The New Yorker recently underwent a breast augmentation procedure using the innovative Preservé by Motiva technique, opting to have the surgery performed live in front of a group of reporters to highlight the minimally invasive process.

For years, Kailyn had contemplated breast implants, often feeling that her smaller chest was not in proportion with her more curvy physique. “I had small breasts my whole life and always wished for something a little more up top,” she shared after the operation. Taking the plunge in early June, she travelled to Costa Rica, the headquarters of Motiva, where the procedure was to be carried out.
The Preservé technique has garnered attention for its minimally invasive nature, promising quick recovery times and less discomfort than traditional breast enhancement surgeries. Kailyn found the innovative approach particularly appealing after witnessing a friend’s recovery from a similar procedure. “Being able to see her experience made my decision much easier,” she explained.

Performed by Dr. Manuel Chacón, a pioneer of the Preservé method, alongside Dr. Kamakshi Zeidler, the operation was conducted in a surgery theatre filled with medical professionals and members of the media. Throughout the event, the surgeons shared their insights, detailing each step of the surgery, which left little room for anxiety on Kailyn’s part.
The surgical technique employed a series of advanced tools that allow for precise implant placement with minimal injury to surrounding breast tissue. Dr. Zeidler noted that the procedure involved light sedation and utilised ultrasound guidance, ensuring the process was both safe and efficient. The surgeons made small incisions under each breast before employing a balloon-like device that created the perfect pocket for the implant. Remarkably, the entire surgery took less than 30 minutes.

“Traditional augmentation often disrupts much of the breast and muscle tissue,” explained Dr. Zeidler, contrasting it to the Preservé technique, which significantly reduces the “zone of injury” during the procedure. This new method not only helps maintain the structural integrity of the breast, but also allows patients to opt for smaller implants without compromising on natural aesthetics. Kailyn chose 240cc implants, which delivered the balance she desired.
Following the procedure, Kailyn expressed no recollection of the surgery due to the sedative. Nevertheless, she embraced her role as a live patient, contributing to an educational moment about this revolutionary technique. Just hours after surgery, she was already mingling and dining with reporters, showcasing her impressive recovery.
Back in New York, Kailyn took the first week post-surgery to rest, carefully reducing her physical activity as part of her recovery plan. Yet, by the weekend, her active lifestyle beckoned, and she was back to the gym, lifting weights and engaging in her usual workout routine. “I ran this morning, and I’m thrilled that I didn’t have to take a lot of time off,” she remarked two weeks after her augmentation.
Now, with her new look, she describes her breasts as “soft and gorgeous,” emphasising their natural appearance. “It really doesn’t look dramatic at all; it’s as if it’s something I could have always had,” Kailyn concluded, clearly pleased with her decision to pursue surgery.
Kailyn’s journey highlights a growing trend in cosmetic procedures, where advancements in technology and technique are reshaping experiences for patients, making them more comfortable and informed. Her think-outside-the-box approach to documenting her transformation offers an unconventional glimpse into the world of cosmetic surgery, demonstrating both the excitement and the educational value that accompany such procedures in today’s society.
