Television personality Andy Cohen recently opened his Hamptons home to the world in an exclusive video tour with Architectural Digest, showcasing a stunning property with sweeping views of the Atlantic Ocean. The 58-year-old host of “Watch What Happens Live” describes his house as a haven that he cherishes, particularly for spending quality time with his children, Benjamin, aged seven, and Lucy, aged four.

In the video, Cohen reveals that the ocean plays a pivotal role in his daily routine. He explains, “The ocean is super important to me. I like to start the day by jumping in the ocean. I like to end the day by jumping in the ocean. The ocean is my absolute therapy.” This close connection with nature is echoed throughout his home, which has been designed to enhance both the indoor and outdoor living experience.

One of the standout features of the property is what Cohen affectionately refers to as the “cajuzzi deck”, where a jacuzzi sits on a spacious terrace equipped with comfortable seating and amenities such as a fireplace and a television. The design facilitates seamless indoor-outdoor living, leading directly to the beach. He remarks on the careful planning that has gone into the home, noting that the flooring has been designed to prevent sand from accumulating.
Cohen’s fondness for his home is made clear as he discusses his long-term commitment to it. He reveals plans to adapt the house as he ages, humourously contemplating the installation of a tubular elevator to replace the spiral staircase he currently navigates. “I plan to have this house for the rest of my life, when I am no longer able to walk up the stairs,” he quips.
The primary suite is another area of the house that Cohen treasures. Adorned in calming blues, the space features a welcoming fireplace and expansive glass sliding doors that provide breathtaking views of the ocean. After purchasing the land in 2019, Cohen worked closely with architect Gordon Kahn to realise his vision for the home, which he moved into three and a half years later.
“My big specification was that I wanted the house to be fully indoor-outdoor, and I wanted to be able to see the ocean from as many vantage points as possible, and I also wanted to hear it,” Cohen explains, underscoring the importance of the natural surroundings in his life. He often enjoys outdoor showers during the summer months and prefers to leave his sliding doors open at night to create a feeling of sleeping beneath the stars, all while listening to the soothing sounds of the waves.
The emotional ties to his home extend beyond its physical attributes, encapsulating cherished memories with his children. Cohen shares a particularly special sentiment as he reveals that he keeps love notes from Benjamin by his bedside. “I’m especially proud of this one, ‘For being the best daddy ever, I love you so much,’” he says, reflecting on the meaningful personal touches throughout the space.
Another area Cohen enjoys resides on the rooftop, a spot he lovingly calls “the spot.” “When I have dinner parties, we start with cocktails up here because the sunsets are absolutely magical,” he adds, highlighting the significance of these moments spent with friends and loved ones against a picturesque backdrop.
Cohen concludes by sharing insights into his upbringing and the value he places on providing his children with a seaside experience. “You know, I grew up in the Midwest; I always aspired to go to the beach. So the fact that my kids get to grow up with access to the ocean is just, for me, a fantasy, and I hope it is for them too,” he reflects, tying together his aspirations and the realities of family life in his stunning Hamptons retreat.
This unique property not only embodies Cohen’s love for the ocean but also serves as a delightful backdrop for making lifelong memories with his family. It stands as a testament to his belief in the importance of connecting with nature and enjoying the simple yet profound joys of life at the seaside.
