A 13-year-old boy has tragically been found deceased after going missing in Lake Michigan, close to the Indiana coastline. According to the Michigan City Police Department (MCPD), the boy disappeared while swimming along the east side of the catwalk, situated just south of the lighthouse. Despite extensive search efforts, the hazardous conditions in the lake hampered the rescue operation earlier in the week. The Indiana Department of Natural Resources (DNR) reported that the teenager’s body was recovered two days later, on Wednesday, June 24, shortly after 7:45 a.m. in approximately 11 feet of water.
