Teddi Mellencamp, former star of Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, recently shared her harrowing experience of being hospitalized for brain tumors. In a candid conversation on her podcast Two Ts In a Pod with co-host Tamra Judge, Mellencamp disclosed the challenges she faced during her recovery from brain surgery.

The 43-year-old reality TV personality discussed the side effects she endured following her operation on February 12th. Mellencamp revealed that due to the sodium drip and sodium pills she was taking, she struggled to urinate, which ultimately led to her being unable to be discharged from the hospital until she could do so.
The impact of the sodium pills on her stomach resulted in Mellencamp throwing up a staggering 85 times in one day. Recounting this distressing incident, she highlighted the physical toll her treatment took on her body.
Following her discharge from the intensive care unit, Mellencamp was accompanied by a full-time nurse at a hotel. Despite an initial improvement in her condition, she admitted feeling overwhelmed with sadness as the reality of her situation sank in. Judge, her podcast co-host, reflected on the emotional phone call they shared post-hospital stay, acknowledging the weight of the diagnosis Mellencamp was facing.
Mellencamp had sought medical attention in February due to severe and recurring headaches. A subsequent CT scan and MRI revealed multiple brain tumors that had been progressively developing over the past six months. She underwent a complex craniotomy to remove four of the tumors, with plans for further treatment involving immunotherapy and radiation.
In a recent health update shared on her Instagram profile, Mellencamp disclosed the discovery of three additional brain tumors and one tumor in each lung. Despite the challenges she has faced, Mellencamp expressed a positive outlook on her upcoming treatment regimen, scheduled to commence with radiation therapy on March 17th.
Throughout her ordeal, Mellencamp acknowledged experiencing some of her darkest days post-surgery. She shared a heartfelt message she sent to Judge, expressing the gravity of her health situation and the emotional turmoil she was grappling with.
But amidst her fears and uncertainties, Mellencamp remains determined to confront her health battle head-on. She exudes optimism as she prepares for the next phase of her treatment journey, embracing the support of loved ones and the strength within herself.
While Mellencamp’s journey is marked with challenges and uncertainties, her resilience and honesty in sharing her story serve as a source of inspiration for many facing difficult times. Her openness about her health struggles not only sheds light on the realities of living with brain tumors but also underscores the importance of resilience and hope in the face of adversity.
