With Rob Lowe, actors Adam Scott and Rob Lowe opened up about their experience joining the cast of the hit comedy series, ‘Parks and Recreation.’ Scott, 51, confessed that when they filmed their first scenes together, they were unsure of what they were doing on the show.

Lowe, 60, recalled the moment they were about to enter their very first scene together, playing the characters of Ben Wyatt and Chris Traeger. He admitted, “We didn’t know what the f— we were doing.” After their initial take, director Dean Holland had to clarify that it was a mock documentary style, advising them not to focus on the cameras.

Scott shared his confusion, saying, “I didn’t know what to do. I remember acting like, why is this cameraman here?” Despite the initial uncertainty, Lowe praised Scott for how his character evolved on the show, especially his knack for delivering punchlines by looking at the camera.

The two actors reminisced about the evolution of ‘Parks and Recreation’ as they joined the cast in its second season. Scott acknowledged the show’s fast-paced humor and how the series expanded its comedic elements as they became part of the ensemble.

In addition to Scott and Lowe, the show featured a stellar cast including Amy Poehler, Chris Pratt, Aziz Ansari, Nick Offerman, Rashida Jones, Aubrey Plaza, Jim O’Heir, and Retta. ‘Parks and Recreation’ aired for seven successful seasons from 2009 to 2015, becoming a fan-favorite sitcom.
