The tragic death of Al-Qaqa Ibn Antar, widely recognised as the ‘Spider-Man of Yemen,’ has underscored the dangers associated with extreme adventure activities. The 30-year-old adventurer lost his life on Friday, June 12, after falling into a volcanic crater while attempting to scale the Hardah Dam, located in the Dhamar region of Yemen.

Reports from local authorities indicate that Al-Qaqa lost his grip while climbing the dam, resulting in a fatal plunge into the crater. Conditions during the rescue mission were reportedly challenging, with the Civil Defense Authority noting the risks posed by both the extreme heat and the isolated nature of the location.
