Governor Abigail Spanberger also reacted to the distressing news, expressing her heavy heart regarding the incident. She commended the rapid response of first responders and noted that her team was closely in touch with local response teams to ensure assistance was provided where needed. “I am praying for the East Lake Community Church and all who are impacted, and we will continue to support the community during this difficult time,” she stated.
