Ariana Grande has announced the establishment of The Brighter Days Ahead Foundation, a new initiative designed to support vulnerable communities across the United States. The foundation aims to provide essential resources and protection for various groups through its distinct funding programmes, addressing critical issues such as mental health, LGBTQ+ rights, and emergency support.

In a statement on Friday, June 12, Grande expressed her enthusiasm for the launch of the foundation, stating, “I am beyond excited to finally announce The Brighter Days Ahead Foundation. Our mission is to support, protect, and provide resources for our vulnerable friends in need.” The initiative is a reflection of Grande’s commitment to activism, especially towards safeguarding the rights and wellbeing of those who often face neglect and discrimination.
The foundation comprises four key funds, each targeting specific areas of need. The Protect & Defend Fund aims to help organisations that advocate for LGBTQ+, civil, and reproductive rights. This fund will financially support initiatives such as the Defending Our Neighbors Fund and Lambda Legal, among others. Through these efforts, the foundation hopes to amplify the voices fighting for these critical rights.

Another vital element of The Brighter Days Ahead Foundation is the Heal & Dream Fund, created to improve access to mental health resources and community support. Beneficiaries include the Trans Lifeline and the National Queer & Trans Therapists of Color Network, organisations dedicated to providing mental health support tailored to the unique needs of LGBTQ+ individuals.
The Seen & Celebrated Fund focuses on elevating LGBTQ+ stories and voices, partnering with groups like SAGE USA and the Gender Liberation Movement. This fund seeks to ensure that the narratives of often-marginalised communities are heard and celebrated.

Moreover, the Emergency Support Fund is designed to provide rapid assistance during times of urgent need. This fund will support organisations such as Humanity Crew and Save the Children UK, which offer critical aid in crisis situations.
Grande’s announcement of this foundation arrives in the wake of her vocal opposition to political movements she views as harmful, particularly concerning immigration policies. Just a day before the foundation’s launch, she denounced the actions of the Trump administration, specifically targeting the Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) and their mass deportation campaigns. Grande’s previous support of the Defending Our Neighbors Fund aligns with her commitment to aid immigrant families unjustly affected by such policies.
In response to a TikTok video shared by the White House, which featured clips of ICE agents making arrests set to her song “Bye-bye,” Grande strongly objected. She stated, “Please do not ever use my music in relation to this barbaric, inhumane, heinous nonsense. f*ck ICE.” Following her comment, the song was muted on the platform.
In addition to her philanthropic efforts, Ariana Grande is currently on her The Eternal Sunshine Tour and has also released a new single titled “I Hate That I Made You Love Me,” from her forthcoming album, Petal, which is set for release on July 31. This new album promises to showcase Grande’s evolution as an artist while aligning with her commitment to meaningful social issues.
Grande’s launch of The Brighter Days Ahead Foundation represents a turning point where celebrity influence intersects with activism. As more public figures adopt a role in advocating for social change, it remains to be seen how this foundation will impact the communities it aims to serve and inspire others to take similar steps in support of those in need.
